All the instruments are here, most of the books and material too! We’re off to a great start and I’ve very proud of these young musicians.

Smart Music is coming!! Be on the lookout for a parent/student night to explain and demonstrate the software and what it can do to improve playing. 

Please remember that concert dress is required for the Winter Concert. Black shoes and socks, black pants or skirts/dresses, white shirts. Also, the school dress code applies.

We want to present ourselves as a unified band to our audience.

YIS 6^th Grade Band

It’s great to have so many players back for their second year. 

Honor Band Auditions are coming up. All band students have their audition material. I will record their audition and send that recording to the judges who review the auditions and choose the honor band members based on their playing ability. Students who are selected for Honor Band will participate in the Honor Band rehearsals and concert attended by the best players in the Northern Zone! I’d love to see the entire band make it to honor band. Practice that chromatic scale and the other excerpts!!
